ALWAYS long lines (down the isles) for the last 2-years. Doesn't matter the time of day. Feels like there is no management of this store. 10/2017 update. Lines have been better as of late..not confident it is an ongoing fix or just temporary. Deli is still understaffed. Person in back hiding while one person tries to serve food and cut meat. Called to try and get another person to help. Person in back came out to the phone on the third reminder... Then back to her hiding place. This is a staffing and management problem. Disappointing.
Pricing errors between the shelf and the cash register. ERROR IS ALWAYS IN THE HOUSE'S FAVOR. Country of origin missing on meat/fish. Frozen passed off as fresh. Difficult to check pricing until after the register tape is printed. Slow lines. But relatively convenient. Price labels TOO small to read on lower shelves. Not senior friendly, IMHO.
This Safeway is a great place to shop for food. There is a nice Starbucks inside that I take advantage of. The shelves are stocked well with enough variety for most things. Like all Safeway's, this one is clean and operates efficiently.
It has gone down hill in the last few years. If you need some quick alcohol this is your shop but if you want good selection on food you are better off going to a different Safeway.
This place used to be great.
Need more staffing. Store managers don't ready manage, they implement policy from above changing a great neighborhood grocery store into a last resort shopping place.
