Tricked me into going to the ER when it was blatant that I just wanted to get a walk-in appointment. They were extremely quick to send me in and give me a single shot just to charge me a massive ER bill. Then they gave me extreme attitude about it afterwards. DO NOT GO HERE EVER!
Do not come here; you're better off going no where than coming here.
I came in at 215pm on an AMBULANCE with a torn patella tendon. They told me it's going to be a hour until I get an MRI then I can leave. That was 3 hours ago and there are saying It will be at least one hour more then the MRI itself will take an hour. They have not checked on me at all other than when I page a nurse. I have yet to see or speak to a doctor at all. I am shocked at the level of care given. If you're life is at risk, you will certainly die waiting for care that never comes.
My boyfriend came here in an ambulance after busting out his knee. He was in considerable pain, and as soon as we got into the patient room, some guy named David Stowe (who was in no way involved in treating him) walked into the room, grabbed his knee, and said, "looks like your patella is broken, that sucks" and then walked out.
Our experience hasn't improve from there. He had X-rays taken, and we have been sitting in this room WAITING for an MRI scan for 3 hours. 2 hours ago, we were told it would be an hour. No one has come by to check on us besides when we press the page button. No updates, nothing. After paging the nurse yet again, now we've been told it will be at least another hour.
This is an amazing hospital! Evergreen Hospital's emergency department BY FAR has the best wait times of any hospital I've been to. As soon as I walk in, the nurse checks in with me and both times I've come in, I'm back in a room and being seen in about 30 minutes. The nurses and doctors are very friendly and they actually have concern for your health and don't try to push a bunch of drugs on you. The facility is very clean and welcoming and it is the only hospital I've been to that keeps their blankets in a heater. Everyone knows how cold emergency rooms are, so it's an extra bit of comfort when they come in with a toasty blanket for you. I love this hospital and easily prefer it to even Seattle Children's.
For a medical professional to grab a patient's injured body part IMMEDIATELY after being admitted to the ER is so unbelievably callous that I was in shock when it happened. Complete disregard for someone's injury.
Every aspect of this surgical experience was explained in great detail and all pertinent questions were answered in an easy to understand format to me. Very professional and friendly atmosphere from start to finish. Total knee replacement went well without any complications and surgical staff visited me with caring followup. I would recommend Evergreen hospital and Pro Ortho Dr. Neil Roberts to my friends. Cheers
I am very grateful this was not a life-threatening emergency, because I have very little confidence his life would have been saved.
