During my consultation visit I informed the doctor that I was there seeking a remedy for my snoring and told him that I was not interested in wearing a CPAP device or a dental device. He encouraged me to go ahead with the home sleep test to determine the severity of my sleep problems and that we would discuss options afterwards.

Before scheduling my initial consultation I called sound sleep and my insurance (Lifewise) to see if this procedure was covered since it's something that my physician recommended but it was definitely not in my budget. I was led to believe by sound sleep and Lifewise that the procedure would be covered.

When I came in for my follow up consultation the doctor began asking me questions regarding the airflow in my machine. It quickly became clear that he was looking at someone else's file. After admitting this mistake the doctor told me that my sleep apnea was not dangerous and began trying to sell me a CPAP machine. I reminded him that I'm not interested in a CPAP, but he persisted. It became even clearer at this point that he had no interest in solving my snoring problem but simply making a CPAP sale!

Dishonest Healthcare Providers!

At this point I left your office feeling like I just wasted a bunch of my time and had 2 very uncomfortable nights of sleep for no reason.

Well, a couple weeks later and you can only imagine my surprise when I received a bill from you for $739.28. What? I thought this was covered?!?

Wish I read the yelp reviews before coming in.

Watch your billing statements from these people CLOSELY. They attempted to bill me co-pays in excess of what my insurance paid, hoping that I hadn't read my insurers explanation of benefits, in an attempt to collect from me what they weren't entitled to collect from insurance. They billed my private insurance then attempted to make up the difference between their agreed upon insurance reimbursement rates from me. My best advice is find a more honest provider. As a result of this, I won't return here again for services ever and hope anyone who reads this will patronize another provider.

It would seem that no matter what the home sleep study shows every answer by your doctor is going to be to sell your clients a CPAP machine. Maybe if you were upfront about this at the beginning you wouldn't have so many negative reviews online. I suppose I should have done more research before calling you.
